Empowering students for a brighter future.

Who We Are

At Logicus, we’re dedicated to providing a transformative learning experience for our students. Our curriculum blending the strengths of  Singapore and Russian math, together with our commitment to small class sizes and personalized instruction, provides our students with a rigorous, logic-based, and supportive approach to mathematical education. We strive to not only prepare our students to excel in math but instill the skills and confidence to succeed in any field and life beyond the classroom.

Meet Irene Sinyavin, our Principal and Founder

As a seasoned mathematics educator and administrator, I bring a long track record in fostering mathematical excellence and student success. Having previously served as a mathematics teacher in Westchester County and as the Principal of the Russian School of Mathematics, I’ve gained a wealth of experience in math education: crafting engaging math curricula, creating dynamic and engaging learning environments, and catering to the diverse needs of my students.

Most importantly, being a mother of four has served as my most invaluable experience as a math educator. I took a direct approach to my children's math education from an early age, individually teaching them using Russian math textbooks and workbooks. I made a point to emphasize abstract mathematical concepts, logic, and reasoning, providing them with more rigor, depth, and complexity than what their regular school curriculum offered. I've seen first-hand how this approach helped my children blossom into creative and inspired thinkers, affirming the immense value of a logic-based conceptual and analytical math education.

Now, as they pursue their educations at Stanford University, Yale University, the University of Chicago, and the Cornell School of Engineering in a diverse array of fields, the logical skills they honed through their math education with me remain integral to their scholarly success. As the driving force behind Logicus, my commitment goes beyond just teaching mathematics—I am dedicated to making a lasting impact on my students' lives and nurturing their success in mathematics and beyond, just as I did with my own children.

We are excited to announce that we are opening a new Logicus location in Park Slope, Brooklyn, slated to open this summer 2025 for summer camp programs.

Our Small Group Classes offer personalized attention, increased engagement, and peer support. Teachers can easily adjust their teaching methods to cater to specific needs, provide targeted feedback, and promote accountability. This leads to a dynamic and engaging learning experience with reduced performance anxiety.
